I have only just learned of John's passing & I wanted to pay tribute to him as a former Cash Register Customer of mine. Such a gentleman to deal with no more than yourself. I have very happy memories of those days years ago in The Beacon & The Fowler.

John had a huge heart and a wonderful spirit. No one could make me laugh the way he could and we would talk for hours especially about his days at sea,growing up in Gorey and his family. When he gave advice , it was genuine and sincere. He had time for everyone, even strangers on the beach. I can still hear his laugh and his often outrageous stories. Ballymoney is not the same without John .
