I worked with taffy in the 80s in the environment Dept i only learned of his passing through DUBCO what a great character he was, always in great form,may he rest in peace

John was a grest character and great fun
He biggest joker in the depot and tell some funny stories
Always try to cheer you up
Cherryorchard depot missed the laugh when you retired

Sorry to hear the sad news on Johns passing. A lovely bubbly jolly man who was the life and soul of every party. Pleasure to have known you. You are now at peace . Sleep tight John the best bed is waiting for you in heaven.

Pat we are both so sorry for the passing of our beautiful kind gentleman John. Little did i know all them years ago when i first met John that i would one day become his carer. The past 5 years of caring for John have been nothing short of memorable. His jokes for a start were absolutely crap but he found them hilarious 😂 so we couldn't help but laugh! I'd be on the call with Ciara in the morning but a different carer at lunchtime and he'd say the same joke ( just to wind me up 🙄) but I'd laugh even harder 😆. John loved the F word especially in the mornings when myself and Ciara were getting him ready, " roll to the right john, roll to the left John " will you's ever make up your F!!Kin minds! 😂. And then the killings over Friday, Fish and Chip day 🙈! I'll say no more about that 😂. John you were an absolute pleasure to look after and I'm sure i can say this on behalf of all the Bluebird
carers who looked after you that we are going to miss you so much xxx sleep tight our dear friend and watch over Pat and your Welsh family who you loved so much ❤️.

Im sorry to here of the passing of john,he was a very outgoing and friendly guy
we were both part of the holy spirit 12oc mass group in the eighties in ballymun
john always had time for people,willing to help if he was needed
