it was my great pleasure to talk to John on many occasions and I will always
remember with fondness him playing "stranger on the shore" for me. May your gentle soul rest in peace John.

RIP John, keep the music going up there!!!!!
It was my great pleasure to work with John in the 1960s in Loftus Bryan Chemicals, Rathdrum. We were all teenagers together finding our way in the world. We had wonderful times both in the workplace and in our social sphere. We will never forget John's wonderful talent playing the saxaphone. Neither, will we forget John commuting from Moneystown to the Copse on one of Jack McGrath's Mobylette's.
It is ironic that the Copse Family Album published only in April, 2015, has a few snapshots of John in the company of his work colleagues, in the early days of the company . I had not seen John for a very long time, but I will always remember him as a natural born gentleman. Even though, we were raw, callow youths in those days, we always respected John for his integrity and common decency.

Very sorry I never got to see you one more time John. I'll miss the songs and the laughs we had along the way. You will always be fondly remembered. Instead of hitting that ''pub with no beer'', I'll find one that has, and raise one for you. Rest in peace.
