So sorry to hear of the sad passing of Vincent. Fished with him on Lough Sheelin fado fado and enjoyed his company met regularly at Garda club fishing competitions and he was always friendly last time a number of years ago in Mullingar he won a few prizes. I have wonderful memories of Vincent across the years, but my most treasured memories are from the ’70s and ’80s. Calm, strong and loving are some of the words that come to mind. when thinking of him.

Anne, Muireann and John, I was so sad to hear of Vincent's passing. He was a lovely man and a true gentleman in every respect. It is of no wonder to me how Vincent was Dad's dearest and closest friend. A friendship that Dad truly cherished and one I am sure will endure in the afterlife. May Vincent rest in peace knowing he was loved by so many.

My husband the late Pat Wlsh met Vincent in the Depot in Phoenix Park on the first day they joined An Garda Siocaina, became friends and remained so for over sixty years. Vincent then became one of my best friends.
I have great memories of the time we all spent together over those many years
Vincent was a very special man and bore his illness with great patience and dignity.
I will remember him very effectively. May he rest in peaceful
