Great memories of his venues and concert promotions especially the Mean Fiddler Harlesden many nights a week and always on a Sunday morning. He gave opportunities to many RIP Vince
Sincere sympathy to the immediate & wider family circle.
Anyone that knew him always spoke of all he did for young up and coming Irish musicians. He never forgot his roots .
To me he was THE MAN that brought a music festival to Tramore called FLeAdH Mór . The biggest music legends descended on our town. The likes we will never see again . Memories embedded in our minds forever.
He was a friend of my father’s so he made sure me and my mates got in for free . God be good to him ! Bed of heaven to him x

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Vince. I first met him at the Fleadh in Randalls Island in New York and then in Finsbury Park, or the other way around. He treated me very well, even after I was going at it alone without the major record label. He really was one of the good ones. I played at Nell’s, Fiddler and the Liverpool Fleadh. All great memories. I’m so sorry I couldn’t attend the funeral. Sending my sincere condolences and gratitude to all of Vince’s family and friends. X Mundy
A legendary Waterford man who never forget his roots from humble stock. Rest easy now VB your work on earth is done.

Sincere condolences on Vince's passing. He was a kind and gentle man, unafraid of taking risks with an ability to bounce back.May he rest in peace.
So sad to learn of the untimely death of Vince. He was our landlord in Cricklewood in the early 70’s,when I shared a flat with Sheila,(Kerry)& Mary (Sligo). He was only a young man himself making his way in London. We had many chats with him when we came through his furniture shop to our flat in the evenings. He always had a listening ear & gave us good advice, a father figure to many I’m sure too in London.
A shrewd, hard working, enterprising & courageous man. Always positive & he leaves a great legacy.. what wonderful achievements he had.
Sincere condolences to his 8 children & their mothers, to his sisters & brother Chris, to his nephew Jack who was very close him, to his niece Fiona & all extended families.
May you now rest in eternal peace Vince & thanks for the Music .

To all Vince’s family, deepest sympathy on your profound loss. RIP
I was very homesick on arrival in London in 1985 but was really helped by Vince. I was a young lad away from rural Ireland in a big city where i knew no one. Vince introduced me to fellow Irish people and I soon made friends and felt at home. He did so much for the Irish in England and its right that his spirit returns home to the land of his birth. Power by name and power by nature. Rest in Peace Vince. London will miss you too. PJ

Rest in Peace Vince, I remember you as a gentleman whom I had the pleasure of knowing when I worked in the Roman Way Pub in Kilburn High Road in the Eighties. A true Gentleman, respectful and kind with a great sense of humour but most of all, Humble and you never forgot your roots of which you were so proud. God bless you and most of all your Family who grieve for you. Noreen

Sincere sympathies to the Power family on the sad passing of Vince. His contribution to Tramore Racecourse will not be forgotten.
It is sad moment for the Irish to learn of the passing of one great fellow Irishman. During his financial demise Vince gave an interview to a UK newspaper. Asked what he felt was his biggest loss out of all his assets that the banks snatched back on him he replied along the lines - “I was born in a small village in Southern Ireland called Kilmacthomas outside Waterford in a small two up two down cottage where every field was our toilet. My mother left me that cottage. The loss of my mother’s cottage weighed most heavily on me”. These words have stuck with me - as will the passing of this individual.

Vince never forgot his roots and from humble beginnings rose to the heights of Irish music entertainment in London. He provided a means for Irish people to meet and enjoy themselves away from home. Those were great times when live music and sessions mattered more than mobile phones and Netflix. Thanks Vince for all you did for the Irish and its fitting that your funeral takes place around St Patrick's Day! Rest In Peace back in your native land.
