May John rest in peace. Im deeply saddened and shocked to hear of his passing. If you saw on the drawsheet of CoCos golf society that you were drawn to play with John, it put a smile on your face. I enjoyed the craic with John over pints a number of times but, like many of us, thought we would have a chance to enjoy many more. John was a true gentleman. He had a fantastic sense of humour and was one of lifes good guys. All who met and knew John were the better for having done so. He will be missed by so many. Johnny was such a lovely person and it was always fun when he was around. Man U was his team and although those of us who support Liverpool, have had the bragging rights in last few years, he always took any slagging with his customary good humour. Sincere condolences to the Walsh family on the sudden and devastating passing of John at far too young an age.
John was always great company and work tea breaks were always much more enjoyable when John was present.
We had a shared interest in a number of musical artists and enjoyed attending a number of concerts together over the years. One particular fond recollection is of a Beth Hart concert in Vicar Street in 2020 where John's enthusiastic and indeed quite ecstatic response caused much amusement and is still talked about and fondly remembered to this day by those of us fortunate to be in John's presence that particular night.
John was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed. Rest in peace John.
