John White

Hard to believe that John is gone.We worked together for many years, and he never failed to deliver on schedule.This was achieved through courtesy,diplomacy and collegiate approach. He had a real gift for friendsip and love of life - he was first and foremost a loving family man , and also enjoyed a wide range of sporting and social activities including competitive snooker, golf ,choir,horse racing and poker.I never heard him make a snide or mailicious comment, and never heard a complaint about him either. Rest in peace John, after an exceptionally full life and leaving a lovely extended family.

Condolences on John's death. My memory is from long, long ago in CDPS, Con Colbert Road.
John bought a new white car (I could only dream of one). I was shattered a short while later when said car had to be returned to the garage to deal with issues. I could not countenance there being any issue with a new car.

I was at school with John in OCS and also met him afterwards ( with his great friend Tommy Walsh) at the annual OCS get together. We were also in the Department of Finance golf society where John was a very keen and active member.

I was always very fond of John. He was a real gentleman, a true Dub, and he had a very wry sense of humour. May he rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family.

Sincere condolences to the extended White families on the sad passing of John ( or Sean de Faoite) as I knew him as class mates in St. Canices CBS Scholarship class 1954/55. But our paths were bound to cross being near neighbors on the NCRd. & Gardiner Street Church area growing up ( Leo Street to Sherrard Street ) and in more recent years again as near neighbors across the road ( Elm Mount to Montrose Grove) and of course around Artaine Castle occasionally. Our common interests: Golf and Singing must have been our “ Education “!! With his wonderful pleasant manner John was a true gentleman, May he Rest In Peace.
