John

From my first encounter with you close to 30 years ago, if not longer, you immediately made me feel welcome within your home and nothing short of comfortable in your presence. It’s been 15 years since I saw you last in Bangkok and at a very challenging and distressful time following the accident with my brother Karl. You showed me and my family nothing short of empathy, kindness and support at such a tough time for us and that I is something that I shall never forget.

Our deepest condolences go out to you Ann, Andrea, Mark and family.

John may you rest in peace.

My sincere sympathy May he rest in peace.
Sorry to hear that John has passed, he was a gentleman and one of life's rare characters.
John was a wonderful asset to GHYC, providing strong organisation to the management of racing. Supported by Ann, he greatly enhanced the racing experience for both sailors and support team. He and Ann spent many hours on ‘the wall’ in Glandore, making it possible for the sailors to enjoy first class racing, and the post racing chat was made all the more fun by his frank commentary. GHYC has lost a great member who gave more than could be expected to ensure top class racing in Glandore. He is greatly missed.
We are so sorry to hear of John"s passing .
