My deepest sympathy to John's family and loved ones, i'm only after hearing about his passing now so i'm sorry i missed his funeral. I use to meet John when i was out and about on my walks and we would have a good chat and reminisce about the old day's. I remember the time when we had to carry John up to his house on a board after the tree swing rope broke and he broke his leg over in the corrow's and the time we were over in St. Stephen's Geen and we found a young wood pigeon chick after it fell from its nest and he brought it home and reared it and down fishing by the Liffey with all the kid's from the area, the good old day's, May John in peace, he really was a lovely fella 🙏

So glad I was able to watch the funeral online and be there with you all.
I will cherish all the amazing times I shared with my uncle John and I am glad of the wonderful memories I have of our time spent together as I was growing up. I will always remember his laugh and the jokes he told!
John - your time on earth is over now but go fly high in that next life.

John spent many a summer here with us, 5 girls in the cottage in Rossmore, Errill along with Val and Peg.

We were all so young back then and the craic and banter was mighty.

John was a lovable rogue always smiling, always gentle and so funny.

He just fitted in with all of us, you could say he was a brother to us.

Broken hearted for the loss of John, he will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
