So sorry to hear the death of Johnjoe, one of my best buddies through, traveled to Point to Points with him when i was only in my teens, one true gentleman, always had time for everyone, from the bottom of my heart, may he rest in peace, maybe someday again we will meet and have a little flutter.

My deepest sympathies to the Farrell family on the sad passing of John Joe. A wonderful soul who I had the privilege of calling my friend. Whenever I met John Joe it was never a grunted “hello”, it was a full on 30 minute conversation during which he would show genuine interest in how I was doing, how was my health etc and I always left his company in much better form. His memory of events from years ago was fascinating and always told with a devilish grin ending with a hearty laugh and a big pat on the back. Always interested and always interesting. Rest easy old pal and I’ll meet you for a drink again some day after the bumper.
