I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the Gregory family on Johnny's death. He taught me at St Joseph's and we remained friends for life. Every time we met on the town we would chat for ages and Bernie would be there smiling and laughing God bless her. I met Johnny up in the graveyard a few months ago and it was the last time I spoke to him . I enjoyed every precious minute of our conversation. Johnny was a brilliant teacher but more importantly and absolute gentleman and a decent human being. He is reunited with Bernie now up in heaven. He will be missed.

What a great life ... reflective, attentive, responsive throughout ... spent in commitment, care and compassion ... touching so, so, many ... on the highways and by-ways, in classrooms, and lecture halls, in folklore, in 'craic, ceol agus rince' ... in faith and family life ... always together with his late and great Bernie ... and the mighty Edel, Aideen, and Loreto, and their families. And it endures in so many of us. Thank you, Sean Uasal. "Well done, good and faithful servant ... "! Mindful ,,, and ever grateful!
