While I Hilary knew Jolly, i not being around much I was very seldom in the shop.
Also sympathy to the extended family neighbours and friends.

I got to know her late mother Teresa when I arrived in New Ross.
i was a member of Junior Chamber with Jolly's dad Paddy
and we also shared membership of the then urban district council.
Paddy and I were members of a UDC deputation to South East
regional tourism when we successfully managed to have the
tourist office in the town retained.[all those years ago].

A most sad occasion for the Ronan family. RIP Jolly.

Such fond memories came flooding back from when Jolly’s late mum Tessa and father Paddy were owners of Kelly’s Hotel in Duncannon in the 1970’s, where I first launched my career into the hospitality business. Jolly looks so like her late mum who was such a kind, loving and wonderful mother. I so recall you all and reading of Jolly’s passing saddens me greatly. May Jolly Rest in Peace.
