A gentle soul.

My sincere condolences to Jake and family on the sudden death of Jon.
I worked with Jon and was fortunate to sit beside him in Vistatec. I loved hearing about his son, his adventures and he listened to stories about my sons.
One December around this time, I told him I couldn't get a Lego set for my sons for Xmas as it was sold out and he spent hours trying to locate it for me. Next day he had found the Lego set.
Will miss you Jon, such a kind-hearted man and my deep condolences to you Jake. You must have some wonderful memories of your father. RIP
My deepest condolences to Jon's son family and friends.
I worked with Jon for many years and while we had many technical chats its the ones about his adventures and explorations and the planning (and unplanned for events) that went into them that will live on.

Someday I will walk some trails in your memory!

Keep Traveling!
Even those of us who didn't work directly with Jon on a daily basis shared many an interesting conversation with him in the office. He always had time for a chat and you'd nearly always walk away from the conversation having learned something new and interesting.
His eyes always lit up when he spoke of his son. My condolences to Jake and all who knew him.
Im so happy we were friends Jon, the laughing, the learning, the living i did with you will stay with me forever..

Jon was some character! Very positive, polite and modest with always great stories to tell. Although we didn’t have a chance to work together, we spent many lunch break minutes on the office back garden bench talking about fun experiences and travels. You couldn’t pass by Jon without saying hello and having a quick chit chat. Jon will always be with us since he left many great memories for us.
My deepest condolences to Jon's closest ones. Rest in peace, Jon.

I was in the office recently and I stopped at Jon's desk. For years he had a small glass ornament of the Taj Mahal sitting on the top of his computer. I stopped to look at it.
I remembered him telling me it reminded him of travels done and travels yet to come.
Safe travels Jon.
In the words of another eloquent man...
"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to, than I have ever known."

My condolences to Jon's family, friends and to his son Jake who always brought a brightness to Jon's face when he talked about him. We had some real great chats about old punk bands and gigs we went to over the years, I don't think there's a subject Jon couldn't had covered in a conversation 🙂
He was an intelligent, fascinating and kind guy, No doubt he's having some great chats with some of those old punks now.
Jon was certainly one of a kind and will be sorely missed.

Rest easy Jon and see you on the other side. RIP.

I will miss our chats on all sorts of topics over coffee in Vistatec. Especially his detailed knowledge of weather patterns over Dublin.

Slán a chara.
I've worked with Jon for 10 years in Vistatec. He was such an interesting guy to chat to on any number of subjects.
I've been reading my last few messages from him and (of course) he was helping me out with something. A few years back we discovered a common interest in a television show. A couple of days later I arrived into work to find the DVD box-set quietly left on my desk. I thanked him and assured him Id return it within a few days. “Nah, it’s a gift” he said.
Condolences to his son, his family and his friends on his passing. He will be sadly missed.
