Jonas was the first friend our son made when we moved to Ireland many years ago. There are some warm and funny stories associated with that time that we still cherish in our family. The boys stayed friends all these years. Thanks to Jonas, we met the wonderful Ieva and Marius.

We knew him as a nice, friendly, calm, and determined person.
We are heartbroken, and any words feel inadequate… We will miss him very much.

He was intelligent but humble; polite, respectful, thoughtful and grateful for the love that his parents poured into him. He knew the true value of family and friendship and had so much to offer to this world.

I was friends with Jonas for a few years, and he always struck me as such a kind friend. In all our time together we never once had any disagreements, and he had this incredible ability to stay positive and lift up those around him. There's going to be a 6'4 hole left in all of our hearts and I wish my best for his family.

I met Jonas years ago when he started swimming in the Aer Lingus C group on Sunday mornings. I had the pleasure and the honour to coach him and I have fond memories of him. He was such a well mannered lad and such a great, talented swimmers.
