Condolences to his family
Lorna, Jack, Jonjo and William would like to pass on our condolences to Jonnie's siblings, incuding their father Sean, and all Jonnie's wider family and friends. As a brother in law Jonnie was kind and funny and supportive; as an uncle he was gentle and strong and exciting and full of adventure; as a younger brother to Sean he was wild and creative and full of imagination and an intense joy of living. We have many grand memories between us to share so we will never forget Jonnie for sure.
We all loved him dearly and will miss him, knowing that our lives are richer for having known him.

We were so sad to hear that Jonnie had died. Such a delightful man with so much to offer all those who knew and loved him. A beautiful smile and a twinkle in his eyes. Sending our condolences to his whole family. With all our love.
This is such a sad and sorry time. You are all much in my thoughts, especially so tomorrow.
Family is a funny thing - the bonds may be loose but they are enduring. I have memories of playing with Jonnie as a child, jumping wildly on sofas at your home, or going to the races when we all met in Mallow. As adults we met only occasionally but there was such an ease when we chatted that the gaps in time didn’t really matter. He was excellent company.
I know the bonds within your own family are tight - Jonnie will be much missed.
With much love to you all.

I am so sorry to hear the news about Jonnie, it isn’t right that he should be gone when he still had so much life ahead of him. Jane shared your the montage of photos with me - they are such a beautiful record of happier times, and in all of them Jonnie’s smile shines through.
This is such a difficult time for all the family. I know you will get through it together, leaning on each other and drawing on a collective strength. You have always been such a close family, Jonnie was fortunate to have been one of you and to have been so well loved.
I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
With love

My deepest sympathy to Jonnie's family at this time. May you all be a comfort to each other. A beautiful young man, gone way too soon. Xx
We're so very sorry to hear of the passing of your dear brother Jonnie. We are thinking of, and praying for, all the Enright family at this most distressing time.
I met Jonnie in Derry in the summer of 1989
and we became good friends. I soon understood how much he valued friendship like a bond of brotherhood.
We did a trip to Dingle and I got to see how much he loved Kerry.
Jonnie left for university in London and I went to Belfast. But we remained good friends.
After uni we shared many fun trips from Derry to Dingle and yes they were pretty wild on the drink.
The craic was 90.
- Imagine the N1 motorway where there’s overtaking on the left - we did this crazy swapping of drivers on the road at 80k!
- In Dingle harbour we went swimming and got swept out to sea by a rip tide after big night out. Jonnie as always had a strategy to swim out past the rip. While it was pretty scary it actually worked.
Life took us in different paths again. I went to Australia where I met my wife Belinda…
I asked Jonnie if he would be my best man?
I was thinking online Of course!
He said Yes and flew over like it was a wee trip down the road….
He did it because I was his friend and that was enough.
We remained the best of friends and stayed in contact. He has given good advice when I have ever asked & sometimes when I haven’t. I will miss him like a brother.
Slainte for the pleasure of your friendship and company along the road,
Le Grá

What craic we had at St Mary's dear Jonnie! I cast you in Brian Friel's "Freedom of the City" and you could'nt have been a more perfect choice. Funny, sweet, caring, hard-working and talented! What an amazing production you helped create. Rest in well deserved peace now where, one day, we'll share more laughs & memories no doubt! Rest Peacefully Jonnie,
My lovely friend, that I first met in 1988. We kept in touch and saw each other through the passing, decades. I shall miss his regular messages to me, full of hope, joy and life. I shall miss his merry way with words, both spoken and written. I shall miss him.
He was always, always adding value to an experience by cheering people up or helping them see the bright side . He cared about people.

Jonnie was the first person I met in St Mary’s College Strawberry Hill as we chatted in the queue to register for first year. He was charismatic, friendly and intelligent and will always be fondly remembered. May he rest in peace.
My uncle Jonnie had a heart that welcomed everyone and a spirit that could lift those around him. He was such a kind man with a very creative mind.
I remember all those hours of him telling my cousins and me the story of “Qwark Qwark Pananga” at bedtime. The stories were so detailed that it is hard to believe that he wasn’t reading it from a book, but made up on the spot. As kids we adored spending time with him; building sand castles, swimming, pretty much everything that could be done adventurously, we did with him.
It’s still hard to believe that he’s gone. I’ll miss his stories, his smile, his warmth, and his ability to make everyone feel at home.

Heartfelt condolences to all of the Enright family during this impossibly sad time. I always remember as a child, that when Uncle Jonnie was arriving down to Ballyheigue- it meant there was going to be a lot of fun! From games at Kids, craic down the beach, story telling or nursing Rebecca back to health after a knock.. I’ll always remember him as my child definition of the “awesome Uncle”! You’ll be so missed Jonnie xx
Our sincere sympathy on the passing of Jonnie especially to all his family who loved Jonnie. To all Jonnies family in Ballyheigue we send all our love and prayers. May Jonnie RIP.
