Very sorry to hear of Joost's passing; my condolences to the family. I spoke with him over the years when I visited the donkey sanctuary to work with Sue and volunteers and I sensed that he was very kind, a gentleman. May he rest in peace.

I have fond memories of the times Oom Joost came to visit us in Amersfoort and of the time when, as a young girl, I stayed with him in Luxembourg. He was a very gentle, calm and wise man. Wishing all who loved him comfort and strength.
