My condolences to the Callanan family on the passing of Joe. He added so much when he joined our year in St Cuans secondary school. Full of mischief and fun, instantly liked by everyone. We shared a bench during technical drawing classes, he was always the best! Gone way too soon. RIP Joe.

So much has been said about JoeCallanan since his sad death and I would like to be associated with the kind words. I was very sorry to hear of his death and to his wife , family and friends I offer my deepest sympathies. Indeed Kilconnell has lost a ‘true blue’ with the many fine qualities that he had. His leadership , his willingness to help no matter what the problem , his volunteering to many projects , but above all the great Faith that he passed in abundance . I was very lucky to have known Joe in his early years ( 2001 - 2013) and he was a great help to me in all the various projects that we undertook in Kilconnell. I have no doubt that his journey to Heaven is a short one following the admirable life he lived on Earth. May he Rest In Peace.

There is so much we can say about Joe that could easily fill a book, he was the kindest, most caring guy & never looked for praise, everything he did for others & for the village of Kilconnell was done so privately. He was a real gentleman & met his match in you Pauline, a lady by his side & 3 beautiful children to share so many happy years. Our words right now seem so meaningless, the void is just too big but I hope, in time you can take comfort in knowing how loved Joe was by so many. We will all miss him in our own way but will take comfort in our memories of happier times gone by. May God give you all the strenght to get you through the days, weeks & months ahead. Sleep peacefully Joe❤️
