So sorry to hear of Joe's sad passing. Worked with him for many years in Motor Tax , River House. We had many a laugh and remember a few of us ending up in Barrys with him after a night out and he was so agile and light footed on his feet swinging us around on the dance floor! Many fond memories. It was my pleasure to work with Joe for many years in DCC. He was a hard working, well read man of intellect and integrity and he was liked and trusted by everyone. And he taught me how to pronounce the name of French writer Proust!

I worked with Joe for many years in th MTO, and DCC, we shared may a tea break or lunch discussing books or his thesis or travels. We always had the craic on overtime, where he would regale us with tales of Barry's hotel. He was a proud Dub who loved his family, friends and knew how to live life to the max.
