I’m so shocked to come across this news. Mr Hoare (or Joe as he’d tell us to call him) used to come into the bank I worked in. He was an absolute gentleman with a brilliant personality - always had a smile on his face and was so easy going.
He and Rita brought all the staff home rosary beads when they went on holiday once. I still have mine (over 14 years plus later!), and strangely enough I had them in my hands this morning.
Joe snd Rita are 2 people I remember fondly from my time in the bank. It’s desperately sad news. My deepest condolences to his entire family. It is my pleasure to have crossed paths with him all those years ago. He left a life long impression on me. RIP Mr Hoare (Joe!)
