Just heard about Joe.s death. Got an awful shock as i met him before Christmas Joe was a real gentleman and will b badly missed. A real Donegal Man. RIP Joe till we meet again.

My deepest sympathies to the Cannon family on their loss. I did not know Mr. Cannon but I laid my Father to rest on January 7th and he rests next to Joe in Bohernabreena cemetery. I hope that one day I may extend my condolences to the Cannon family in person.

We were so sorry to hear of Joe's passing - may he rest in peace. Sincere condolences to Valerie, Simon, Joey, Ross and all Joe's family. We joined the funeral mass online today and it was a lovely, fitting send-off for Joe - he would have been very proud.
I knew Joe for many years through our involvement with the Dublin branch of the Donegal GAA Supporters' Club and the Donegal Association in Dublin. Many's a good night's crack was had with yarns and reminiscences of home and bygone days. Joe was always kind and likeable and one of life's true gentleman - and extremely proud of his Donegal roots.
