Saddest news, Joe was a true gentleman and the loveliest caring funny man . Condolences to all his family he spoke so highly of. this is such sad news. I was so lucky to have worked frequently with Joe as my captain. Joe had a way of making those flights special. His funny, genuine, and caring ways made those long days 'fly by' . I was proud to call him my friend. Deepest condolences to all Joe's family and friends. His Aer Lingus family miss him very much.

I am so very sad to read about Joe's passing. We worked together in Geneva many years ago, and he truly is one of the finest people I have ever known. He was kind and very funny and I will never forget him. I would like to send my condolences to his family and friends who must be feeling his loss so very profoundly.

My family lived on Iveragh Road and my father signed the application form for Joe to join Aerlingus. That was a real pleasure. I met him while flying from New York. Always a real gentleman. He will be greatly missed.

So sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. He was such a lovely man a real peoples person in every way. Always stopped for a chat. Still remember him walking into the AIMS office where I worked while I was pregnant as couldn't fly for a chat with Giselle proud as punch. He touched so many peoples lives in a positive way.
