Joseph (Joe) Doyle

To Arlene and family, I was shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved Joe. Joe was, in so many ways, the beating heart of Bective Lawn Tennis Club. I was a member years ago now - Joe was a crafty player and I preferred to play with him rather than against him! I was back at the club from time to time watching rugby matches - Joe was ever present - he always made time to chat with me and to ask after my family. I remember Joe as an absolute gentleman - the world was a better place with him in it. Thank you Joe.

To Arleen, Mick and all Joe’s family and wide circle of friends - so very sorry for your loss - the world is a darker place without Joe’s wonderful personality and great sense of humour - he will be missed by so many - thanks for the memories.

Dearest Arlene and extended family. I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Joe. He was such a wonderful man. I am very glad that I got to know him over many years in Bective. He was such a gentleman and a super tennis player. I was always glad to be able to play against him, and with him, as it helped me become a better tennis player. He was a stalwart of the club, and was always super fun to be with. I will miss him a lot. Thinking of you all at this time.
