Condolences to joe's family he was one of the nicest and friendlest type of man you could meet always saw the up side of life and was a leading light in the men shed and will be missed especially at quiz time where he was a great laugh and a great entertainer,good bye my friend will always remember you rest in peace Joe.

With sincere sympathy to Pat and Family on the sad passing of our good friend Joe. Only Thursday gone Yvonne and I had dinner at Robertas in Fuengirola. We remembered with fondness when the four of us, Joe, Pat, Yvonne and myself had dinner here a couple of years ago. I remarked that I must give Joe a call when I returned to Dublin as I had been out of contact with him after my shoulder surgery. Then on the Friday morning I got the devastating news that Joe had passed away some hours previously. Joe was always delighted to keep us informed of his children's progress as they went through life, he was very proud of all of them. He will be sorely missed by his family and will be fondly remembered by all at Beaverstown Golf Club. May Joe Rest in Peace.

Joe was one of the best referees I've known and was always a pleasure to meet. I played in the Amateur Football League and always loved when Joe refereed us because he always made the game better by his excellent handling of every game he officiated at.
After I'd finished playing I actually took up refereeing and it was people like Joe who persuaded me to do so.
So long my friend.
