I was very sorry to hear of the recent sad passing of Joe ! I attented Belcamp College back in the late sixties and early seventies and Joe was there too! While we were not in the same class, he was one year ahesd of me we got to know each other a little! Fifty years later I can honestly say he was one of the nicest people I ever met in my life. Rest in peace Joe and sincere condolences to your wife and family. J.M. Class of 1973.

Words cannot describe the very sad feeling I had when learning of Joe’s passing away last week (a great thank you to Alan McKenna for letting me know).
My deepest sympathy go out to his wife, to his children and grandchildren in this time of grief.

The funeral service this morning (via webcam) was truly touching and really depicted Joe’s life fully while bringing back fond memories to me.
I, together with Brian Lowry r.i.p., were always with Joe when we played as kids anywhere & everywhere between Chapel Street, Railway Avenue and of course the railway station itself (where my father was station master in those good old days).
