We were so lucky to have had the chance to meet Joe in the Portugal chapter of his life. We received his generosity, we took his advice, we shared in his golfing triumphs but most of all we enjoyed his "mighty" friendship. We will miss seeing you putting on the 8th and coming around for a cup of tea.

As so many people have said, Joe was a true gentleman. He was one of the good guys and we are all better for having met him.

It was a sad day I was informed of Joe”s passing . My sincere sympathies to Annette and his beloved family ‘ unfortunately I was unable to attend his funeral as a friend . From his roots of Carnmore Hurling Club to Galway GAA and Galway Utd he was an amazing man supporting the sports clubs of the local communities with his generous sponsorship from his successful businesses ‘More importantly he was a family’ man kind and approachable and a wonderful salesman always up for the banter and chat’
