May Joe rest in peace. I have a lot of fond memories of Joe when I was growing up due to my friendship with Vinnie. He was fun, welcoming and always came across as a bit of a tech guru. If there was a problem with my computer or whatever, Vinnie would always say 'i'll ask my Dad' and generally it got sorted. & even in the last number of years I wouldn't have seen Joe as much but any time I did see him he always spoke so proudly of all his family, sons, daughters, grandchildren and all their partners. It was lovely to hear such genuine affection from Joe and gave me a feel good factor also! I know he will be missed greatly by all of his family but I suppose that just goes to show what a brilliant man and person he was. Also, just to note that looking at all of the family today at the mass, himself and Marie reared a family that they should be proud of.
Joe rest in peace and watch over your family.

Times like these are always difficult. My thoughts are with Joe and the rest of his family. I was able to meet the Heffernan family during a family trip in December of 2019 to Ireland for the holidays. It was a great time for all of us to finally meet and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to meet Joe. He left behind a great legacy to pass down for generations. Sending you all love from Utah
