Joseph (Joe) Horan

I first met Joe Horan in Arizona at a Manager's meeting many years ago. I subsequently met him a number of times at Meath County Council. My recollection is of a gentleman, a bright companion and a dedicated professional I extend my sympathies to his family on their loss.

Deepest sympathy to Geraldine and family on Joe's untimely death. I had the pleasure of reminiscing on our CBS schooldays more recently over 18 holes at the Arklow club after a gap of more than four decades. It will remain a fond memory.

Joe was a remarkable guy, a true leader, a driver of change, with vision and the courage of his convictions, and the ability to connect with the most vulnerable in a warm and inclusive way. He was a mentor, coach and good friend and we are all the better from having known and worked with him. I will miss him greatly. Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time.
