I'm so sorry Carol. I know how much you loved your father and how much you looked after him every single day until the last one. I met Joe very briefly when he came to Spain but I could tell he had the warmest heart. He was lovely with me, a complete stranger. My deepest condolences to Carol and her family. Deep sadness at the passing of my dear friend Joe and sincere sympathy to all the Kiernan family. I grew up with Joe. We played together, prayed together as altar boys. We ran together in Clonliffe Harriers, we bought two old Ford Anglias together and spent one Saturday painting both cars, together, by hand with a pot of black paint and a brush. We did all the usual teenage boy things together and I was Joe's Best Man. I moved away from Dublin and lost contact with Joe for many years until we came together again a few years back. I have diaries full of stories of Joe and myself. Joe, you will never be forgotten and we are only a few steps behind you.

Deepest sympathy to all on the untimely death of Joe ..though I never met any of you , I know how much you all meant to him...A true gentleman now in Heaven , at peace .Heaven now has the pleasure of his company ..sorry he didnt get another few years that he hoped for ....God comfort all...
