I have fond memories of knowing Joe in St. Joseph's School, Drumcondra in the early 1960's. May he rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to all Joe’s family on his sad passing. I was Chief Nursing Officer for a while in St Brendan’s Hospital where Joe worked for many years. He was always dedicated and caring to all the patients in his care and was held in high esteem by both patients and staff in St Brendan’s. I have just now watched his Mass and it was a truly fitting tribute to a true gentleman. May He He Rest in Peace.

Joe was a life time loyal SIPTU shop steward for all the staff in St Brendan’s Grangegorman. He was also an active member of the dublin health division working tirelessly to promote the rights of health workers
