Joe was my godfather and recently we spent several afternoons talking about the life and times of Joe, my aunt Eleanor and my Dad, Frank
Joe could weave a story with such ease and intelligence
He gave me such a rare insight into Dublin in the 1930s and 40s
I will treasure our time together
To me he was a genius, star quality.
I will miss him
Thinking of you, Carmel, Jane, Brien and Myles
