With deepest condolences to the O’Brien family. Had such great times with Ann and Joe as their nephew. He imparted much wit and knowledge to me over the years. We played a lot of golf together back on the day and he was a terrific golfer!
He was a real Dub! I think even Ronnie Drew had to do a double take seeing Joe!

Very sad to hear about Joe we had the privilege of knowing him for the last few years in the croft always looked forward to our little talks he was a lovely gentleman may he now rest in peace ❤️
Very saddened to learn of joes passing . A gentleman , so well learned & versed , it was a privilege to talk with him daily . I often met him about the canal in his days at the Croft .
There is a very deep memory of Joe at the cherrytree in Walkinstown, a stones throw from his childhood.

Remember him & Ann, as we neighbours of them for many years on Forest Avenue & he used to go around to the houses, collecting the money for the parish church, in the early 1980s. They were a lovely couple
