I was very saddened to learn of the death of Joe Sheilds and I extend my sympathy to his family on this sad occasion. Joe was a well informed courteous gentleman who shared his gifts generously. He loved his family deeply and they will surely miss him. He lived a good life and may he have eternal reward.

Gillian and family we would like to offer our deepest sympathy to you all .on the passing of Joe Hewas a regular customer of ours for many years we would have a lovely chat with him May he rest in peace 🙏

Saddened to hear of Joe’s death. It was a long and fruitful life in which he gave devoted service to his students at Bolton St DIT . His involvement with the Labour Party reflected his commitment to society in the same way as he was committed to the welfare of the young people he helped to train. He will be remembered too for his devotion to music and the band in Drogheda. Our condolences to his family

Helen, who was a brilliant daughter to her Mam, Cepta , and Dad whom Helen adored and had a very special relationship with. I know you will miss him every day . You have so many great memories to hold on to. He lived a great life and most importantly lived every minute of it up until his recent illness and at such a great age . He was some man and sharp as a razor , with a wonderful mindset , wit and character .

My thoughts go out to David who too was a great son to his Dad and will miss having the chats and laughs with.

My thoughts are with you both and to Gillian who lightened up his life .

May Joe rest in peace now and I hope himself and Harry Kelly are making some of their own great music with the heavenly brass band .
