Joseph (Joe) THORNTON

My deepest deepest regrets. Joseph has a special place in my heart. He played on my soccer team and we had many a good laugh together. He was a very special boy, a boy who touched my heart with his scrappy can do attitude. Although we have not seen him recently, we talk of him often and will remember him forever with fondness.

I remember enjoying Joseph's friendly countenance, warmth, curiosity and spiritedness as I worked with him in my classroom.
He happened to get a few words in edgewise despite my insisting he listen to me!
I'm glad he was, and will always remain, in my life and heart.
I hope and pray God's peace will carry Joseph's loved ones through this time of suffering and loss.
I dearly loved Joseph.

Dear Ray and Joseph's family..Our son Kevin was friends with Joseph in 4th & 5th grade. He was a fantastic boy who brought me flowers during one playdate and loved to talk about his favorite Heavy Metal bands of the 80's. He had great wit and kept us all laughing. We are absolutely heartbroken to hear of Joe's passing and words cannot express the sorrow we feel for your family. We will keep you all in our prayers. - Eric, Lori, Kevin & Annie

I can't even begin to contenplate your loss, I don't know you both but my son Karl went to school with Joseph both in Primary and Secondary. Karl is very sad to have lost a good friend like Joseph. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and all your family at this very sad time.

The world has truly lost a bright and energetic soul. Joseph was a person, even at such a young age, that had the ability to enjoy life to it's fullest and make everyone around him a bit happier. He will truly be missed by his family here in the U.S. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ray, Faith, Mia and his entire family during this difficult time.

Although I didn't know Joe personally, I am very saddened at the tragic news. May he rest in peace with the Angels above.

To Ray & Faith, I can't even begin to contemplate your loss. I don't know you both but I do know that Joe was one of Liam's first friends in Celbridge and for that he will always hold a special place in his heart. I concur with others as to Joe's bubbly personality and he was way beyond his years and hopefully these memories will be a testament to your lovely son. We are deeply sorry for your loss. Joseph shared a house and danced with our son Santino at the all Irelands. He will be missed by all his friends at fit-teens. Our prayers and thoughts are with your family.

Joe and Ray lived upstairs from us for a year, and what a year it was. Joe was wiser than his years, bursting with energy, an utter charmer. He was a great friend to my son Shane, and the two of them spent a lot of time together. I was blessed to spend a lot of time with Joe. I loved that kid, and I miss him. My best wishes to Ray, Faith, and the whole family.

My son Aido knew Joe very well & is so sad that his friend is gone. I am so sorry for your loss

I didn't know Joe very well, but we were friendly enough that everytime I saw him he would give me a big smile and a hug, he was always smiling and kept those surrounding him always laughing. Joe, we will miss you, and you will not be forgotten. R.I.P.

I can not express with words the deep sorrow…I am looking at his pictures and his videos, laughing and crying at the same time…Joseph was so special, so charismatic, so funny….His friends and family in Pleasantville, NY will always remember him. It was a privilege and a joy to have him in our lives. My heart goes to Ray and Faith and the rest of the family.

I am so saddened to hear of such a profound loss. Teaching Joey for the one year I had him was really a delight. I will never forget his big beautiful eyes and shaggy brown hair. He was a big personality. He will be missed.

He was too young, its really not fair, it was too soon :( we all miss him, he'll never be forgotten. I hope his family are okay, i can't even imagine what they're going through. take care and rest in peace xx

He was my best friend. We fought occasionally but we were always great friends. When he went to Ireland to live with his Mom, I was sad but always with hopes that he would come back to visit. Before he left he told me to always remember him. Rest in Peace
