Dear Kay and family, I am thankful to have known Joe. First, at Kavanagh’s Men’s Shop in Phibsboro where he was a knowledgeable colleague who taught me much.Then, as a fellow Bohemian member sharing the highs and lows since the 1980s. Finally, following his persistent salesmanship of tickets, the enjoyment of attending the Seafield Singers concerts. As others have said a true Bohemian member and gentleman. R.I.P.

Knew Joseph’s face as a regular in Dalymount.. didn’t know him personally but he was of the Bohemian family, and we morn his loss.

Deepest condolences to you Kay and your children and grandchildren. I had the pleasure of singing with and enjoying the company of Joe for many many years in the choir. I was always struck by the fact that I never saw him without a shirt and tie! He had such a gentle way about him and was so fantastic getting sponsorship for the concerts year in year out. I have many fond memories.
