May Joseph Rest in Peace.
Sincere condolences to the Nolan family on the loss of your beloved Joe.

I also had the good fortune to have Joe as A colleague in St. Brendan's. And am saddened by

his passing.

He was always compassionate, caring and very often, amusing.

He particularly enjoyed telling anecdotes at his own expense.

" I know where Christy didn't get his talent"

He will be missed.
Sorry for your loss Yvonne, precious memories. May Joe rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to all the Nolan family. I too worked with Joe, many years ago. An absolute gentleman, a modest, unassuming man who put everyone before himself. I listened this morning to his funeral Mass. I remember him just as you described him Yvonne. He never left the land, the many stories, which often started with, " I knew a man once......." You have a lifetime of wonderful memories which will always keep him near to you. He has well earned his eternal reward. May your gentle soul rest in peace Joe. Amen

I have great memories of your late Mam and Dad and also Christopher and yourself when you lived in Milltownpass and often think of you all when I go there to visit the graveyard which is opposite to where you all once lived.
I also think back to the time when my daughter was travelling around the world and when she came home she gave me a book which she had read. That book was "Under The Eye of the Clock". She said I might like it but she had absolutely no idea that I grew up around the Author, Christopher Nolan and then I told her all I knew.
I think of all the times your Mam lent me the big old bike any time I looked at it, I had it so often I nearly owned it!
The last time I came across your father was in Feb 1987 with yourself Yvonne, in the middle of a field, in a place called Clounanna near the village of Adare.
We has a lovely chat.
Joe was a gentleman true and true and my deepest sympathy goes to you and family.
