I was on the Board of D8CEC with Josie for several years, and it was an absolute pleasure to work alongside her. She was such a lovely lady, full of fun and great stories about her life in the Liberties. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Deepest condolences to all her family and friends.

So sad to hear the passing of Josie she was a Wonderful Liberties Lady. We had many a great time out at the Abbey Theatre.

Sincere sympathies to the Sheehan family. Josie was a wonderful friend to all and a great supporter of St. Catherine’s Parish. From seniour citizens outings, to the annual Passion Play on Good Friday, she was a beacon of light and joy. She was highly principled but gentle with it. Above all she was a family woman and she knew the struggles of rearing you but heart was huge!! She knocked great fun out of life. I feel honoured to have known her!!! Will remember all the family and friends in my prayers and mass. Josie, thank you for some wonderful memories. I do hope for your sake there is line dancing in heaven

I have nothing but fond memories of Josie from my time working at The Digital Hub and on the Board of D8CEC. Josie was so warm and so full of life. For years after I'd meet her around Meath Street and would hear her laugh and was always in a crew of people, always organising, always involved. I am so sorry for her family you must be in pain, but I can only hope you can take great comfort from a life so well lived. Dermot Ryan.
