I am so sorry to hear the news of Josephine's passing. I have such fond memories of her, she was so good to me when I started teaching in the school, a wonderful mentor and friend .Rest in Peace Josephine.

Josephine was a key part of this school from the very beginning and, even long after her retirement, she still kept in close contact with colleagues and students in Scoil Íosa. We were so saddened to hear of Josephine's passing. It was so lovely to meet her last year at Georgia's communion. It was a beautiful day and my abiding memory will be of Josephine sitting outside the Grand Hotel, enjoying a fag in the glorious sunshine, all lipsticked up to the nines. What am incredible lady she was. A real Dame.

I want to express my condolences to Josephine’s children on the death of your lovely mother. She just loved and lived for you all. I met her first in 1973 while teaching in Scoil Iosa and we became firm friends. I enjoyed many lovely visits in her home and chats with her in school. My sympathies to you all.

My sincere condolences, John, Adrienne, David, Peter and Dara on the death of your wonderful Mum. When I began teaching in Holy Infant Jesus Convent, I knew nobody in Malahide. Josephine made me feel so welcome and we became very good friends. As a colleague, one could not ask for better. Josephine set very high standards for us all and she was devoted to her students. She will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of style. She was tremendous fun (playing the Fairy Godmother when the staff put on "Cinderella" to entertain our students!!!) We will miss her but will have nothing but happy memories of our dear colleague. Rest in Peace, Josephine, with Joe and David who adored you.

I remember Ms.MacPherson so fondly she was my home economics teacher for many years! Only a couple months ago i met her at her gate in the village as i was walking by with my son and we had a lovely chat she did not remember me but i remember her :) May she rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences to Josephine’s family.I remember her very well when I was a student at Holy Infant Jesus convent in Malahide.I was not a pupil of hers but we all had a reunion in the Millstreet arena in co Cork and she was with us all on the train down from Heuston.It was a great day meeting The sisters who taught us.She was also once a neighbour of my late aunt Margaret.She always was very elegantly dressed.May she rest in peace.
