I got to know Josephine when Jack joined Junior infants in Mulhussey School. And to watch her everyday interactions with Jack was to witness a masterclass in mothering of the most gentle, loving and humbling kind. I had the pleasure of working with Josephine in St Ita’s Mental Health Services and later in Dublin North West Mental Health Services where she was a Specialist Nurse in the Bereavement Service. So very sorry to hear of Josephine's passing. I only met her again, after many years, in Fairyhouse with her son Jack and she was so happy introducing him to me. Josephine joined our Community Homecare team in Balbriggan Health Centre soon after qualifying. She was a very caring compassionate Nurse with a keen ear. Her Bereavement counselling skills gave her a special place in peoples lives. Those skill would no doubt have eased her pain and given her some comfort in the arms of her family. My deepest sympathy to all of the McDonnell and Kinsella families on your immense loss.

Very fond memories of growing up in Portrane, the Burrow and the love of sport we all had and of course Josephine was always at the centre of that. I also remember Josephine so well for her loving devotion and care she gave everyday to her own late Mum, they were so incredibly close.
