Deepest sympathy to All the rose family on josh passing.
Josh loved the circus from juggling the tennis balls or the oranges in the kitchen. Riding the one wheel bike or a regular bike backwards.
Stretching the steel wire in the front yard with the nutfield tractor and we practiced tight rope walking with the long pole.
It was about 2 feet off the ground later on I believe he set it up in the hayshed much higher up. Built a raft on the lake in donadea with 40 gallon barrels all tied together and a wooden frame built around them. And the list goes on.
Josh's door was always open to everyone that called in from the neighborhood and sourronding area and will be sadly missed.

The Rose family were very much part of Robert’s youth & he greatly valued their friendship & often spoke of Josh , Maggie , Martha & Jean & the fun they had together growing up . Spent many hours over cups of tea with Brendan sitting in Josh's kitchen and many hours playing tennis on the improvised court Josh built just off the yard! My deepest sympathy to the Rose family on the death of Josh. I have good memories of Josh when I was growing up in Ashwood. May he rest in peace.

We have paid many a visit to Josh over the past 25 years, especially at Christmas where he and his dog always welcomed us by the fire. We spend great, fun and peaceful times with him. He was always kind and smiling, always in great spirits.
Once we asked him about the large carved stone on his window sill. He had dug it up in a nearby field and kept it because he liked it. Much later he found out that it is estimated to be more than 1,500 years old!
We have so many fond memories of him and Donadea.
We miss him a lot.

Thank you for the times you came (on the bike) at very short notice, to fix a leaking tap or a malfunctioning toilet in the school..I have lovely memories of sitting at the kitchen fire of a winter's night, drinking tea and debating local affairs with yourself and the late Mick Coyne when I called to collect money for some Draw.
