Our deepest sympathy to both of you, Tracey and Vinnie, and to all your families. Joy was my late sister, Ann's, lifelong friend. I think that they met initially in Sion Hill - it is over 70 years now since I first met Joy when she and Ann used to come down to Longford to visit my family. Our respect for Joy was, and will always be, boundless. My sister could not have had a more wonderful friend - she really was special. Her passing makes me feel so sad, which is ridiculous as I have nothing but happy memories of Joy. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

Our mum, Evelyn Gallagher, knew her for many decades, enjoying golf and opera and paintings together. She brought good energy to every occasion, all those dinners and dances with your late father John and our late father, Eamonn. May she rest easy.
