I knew Joyce in Birmingham where she dedicated Pass the Happy Pills to me and two of my colleagues. A lovely lady with a great intellect and wonderful sense of humour. My sincere sympathy to all her extended family
For many years Joyce did locum work in Vergemount Cinic in Clonskeagh.
She was a great colleague and very interesting lady with lots of amazing stories about her life and times in medicine.
May she rest in peace.
Joyce, a wonderful, wise and witty woman - what a joy and a privilege to having had the pleasure of knowing her for many, many years. May she enjoy her so well deserved eternal reward. My loving sympathy to Miriam and all her family. Anne Whelehan

My Mum,(Joan) often spoke about how kind your Dad was to my father and
I believe gave him his first set of golf clubs.
I remember us watching Joyce being interviewed by Gay Byrne on The Late Late Show.
"Smile at me Doctor","Pass the Happy Pills", were read on holidays.
Many years ago Joyce did a locum in Dublin North East MHS. I remember she was such a pleasure to work with, the sort of person that lingers in your memory all these years later. I subsequently read her books, which give much enjoyment.
May she rest in peace and may your good memories give you solus at this time
