She loved talking about Christmas, and for years we sent each other a Christmas card and if I missed a year, she’d be asking me what happened to my card. Honestly, always made me smile. I am greatly saddened at Joyce’s passing. Joyce was a wonderful neighbour and friend that our family was blessed to have had. She was like a second mother to us all growing up as kids. She was kind and warm-hearted. I can still remember her wonderful laugh.

Sometimes, no matter what you write, it is impossible to do someone justice. This is one of those times.
Joyce will be greatly missed.

Growing up we (Tom Fenning, Garvan Clarke, Tom Clancy & me) spent a lot of time in the McCoy house and Joyce always had the door open, the Brennans sliced pan beside the toaster, butter and jam on the table. Joyce always made us feel so welcome and she would sit with us ready to have a chat and hear about the rugby or the previous night in Blinkers. It was always an open house and I can honestly say we all loved Joyce, such fun, so generous, so warm, so interesting and time for everyone, what a lady. Rest in peace dearest Joyce.
