AS CHAIRMAN OF THE FATIMA REGENERATION BOARD, I INVITED JUDGE CARNEY TO COME TO SEE THE STRUCTURAL AND SOCIAL CHANGES THAT HAD BEEN MADE THERE. TO HIS CREDIT HE CAME AND WAS GREATLY IMPRESSED WITH THE ADVANCES MADE THERE. THIS IS A GREAT LOSS OF SUCH A COMPASSIONATE AND UNDERSTANDING MAN.

MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

Paul left a great legacy in family, law and life well lived. He will be missed.

Sincere condolences to the Carney family on the passing of Judge Carney. A wise and respectful man. He will be sadly missed but hopefully he will get his reward in a greater place.

so sorry to hear of the passing of such a wise and great man. He was a man who dealt with the failings in our society and dealt with them well. He was not a man afraid to express his views that most of us ordinary Irish citizens agreed with no matter if he was not liked in certain circles. He will be sadly missed in our courts and it will be hard to fill his shoes. RIP Justice Carney.
