When I first met you way back in 1997 at the European Commission, I just somehow knew we would be friends for a long time and dare I say forever. And then Henry and the boys and my wife Samar as well, and our kids too esp in the last year …. all very good friends wirh lots of great banter, chats, laughs and shared feelings about this world… i gcónaí craic agus ceoil and sometimes tears too. A great friendship between us all.

You have been an amazing presence in all our lives, a great friend and one of those rare people who just lit and lifted every room you were in and every person you met. Your presence lives on and does so also strongly with your 3 great boys and 1 great man. We are gonna miss you terribly but every time we do, we will remember your beauty and your laugh because that will live forever mo chara.
