Judy DOYLE

I just learnt of the sad news of Judy’s passing. My sincere sympathy to the Doyle family. I have happy memories of Judy during my time in RTÉ Accounts Dept in the 80s. She was a such a character, loved her sport and loved to win. May her she rest in peace.

We were all aware of Judy's legendary goalscoring exploits for Dublin in All-Ireland Camogie Finals. She is rightly considered one of the greatest forwards in the history of the game. Dublin Camogie offer our sincere condolences to the family, friends and former teammates of Judy Doyle (CIE, Naomh Aoife and Dublin 1960-1973) who passed away yesterday. Judy won 6 All Irelands with Dublin in 1961,1962,1963,1964,1965,1966. She also won 4 inter-provincials with Leinster in 1962,1965,1968,1970. Judy has been described today as 'a lethal corner forward with a serious turn of speed'.
