Remembering Julie with much love & laughter from our years on the Child Care Course in Cathal Brugha St and working in the EHB especially our time in Ballyfermot. Although I moved to Scotland late 80's we connected at various times over the years with mutual friends from those days. Through the power of Facebook she sent me a lovely message recently having heard a song on radio which she remembered me singing - Dublin can be Heaven. Julie was such a kind and caring individual and it was a privilege to be able to watch such a beautiful memorial - thank you Sean and Eoin -caring thoughts are with you both.

Sending much love to Sean and Eoin at this difficult time. I loved Julie, my older sister so much. I was blessed with 10 years of knowing her, having only found out about her, just before our mother died. The bond that Julie, Mark and I forged was very special.
I particularly enjoyed our time together in Dublin when I got to meet you both and feel so proud of my Irish roots.

Fond memories of a dear colleague In St Frances Clinic Temple Street Hospital- while our paths didnt pass there I had the privilage of working with Julie in the wider hospital setting - she was a beautiful , kind empathetic person and colleague - she was compassionate and worked tirelessly on behalf of the less privilaged, on diversity and interculturalism and was one of first to promote and support patient / family engagement in their care in a truely meaningful way. Julie mentored me while on placement in D15 in the 90s. Our paths have crossed many times since. She was a beacon of justice, fairness and force for change, practiced with kindness, respect, understanding and the necessity of celebration and fun! Julie touched me from afar, as a friend on FB and a colleague on a professional list serve. We shared a love of nature and I was always so impressed with her depth of knowledge, experience, compassion, generosity, wit, and individuality. I am so sorry to learn of her loss.... I was thinking of her all day on the day she died. Her death will leave a void, in some ways, in the lives of her son and husband, but she will live on in all of us, always.
