Justin Ryan

I played with Justin in The Edinburgh Samba School. He was always very kind and generous. A very friendly and vibrant gentleman who will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to all of his family and friends.

I met Justin at The Edinburgh Samba School.
From Day 1 there was a warmth of spirit emanating from him...
A nice guy. A friend. Adventurous. Strong. Brave.
Will be greatly missed.

Justin was a joyous member of our samba band, radiating warmth and positivity to all. I saw him a couple of times last year and was struck by the good feeling you have after spending any time in his company.

It's no surprise how gracious and dignified a manner Justin dealt with the challenges this year brought, and through his passing he showed us all how to truly live. We will miss him greatly.

I am so very sorry for your loss. As a member of The Edinburgh Samba School, Justin was always energetic, enthusiastic, and always wore a smile. He was a true gentleman. He will be missed by everyone and will continue to be in our thoughts.

So very sad to hear about Justin's untimely death. We played together in The Edinburgh Samba school. Justin was a proud member of our band and community and will be missed by many. My thoughts go out to his family.

I can only imagine the shock and grief Justin’s family and friends must be enduring and I am so deeply sorry for your loss. We did not know him well but we stood shoulder to shoulder on many occasions in the struggle against Brexit with EMIS. He was always lovely company, enthusiastic and prepared to put in his all. He was a passionate and committed comrade and always had informed and worthwhile comments to make. A great team player, thoughtful, kind and courteous. Too good for this world perhaps. May God rest his soul and bless and comfort all who mourn him.

I will always be grateful for Justin's commitment to progressive causes. He was such fun and a pleasure to campaign with. We will continue his fight for environmental justice and European unity. I am extremely sorry for your sad loss.

My heartfelt condolences to all Justin’s family and friends. It was an incredible shock to me to hear of his untimely death so I can’t imagine the grief family and friends must feel. I am sure though there will be many many happy memories to ease the grief over time. I didn’t know him well but we had a common commitment to Remain.

Sincere condolences to all Justin’s family and friends. I got to know Justin through Edinburgh 4 Europe where he was a beloved and much appreciated fellow campaigner. He wholeheartedly engaged with all of us, inspiring ideas and actions - including running stalls and helping organise rallies and marches. But more than that his passion, his world view, sense of humour and in recent times his dignity and love and care to everyone who was shocked by his diagnosis is what will stay with me. He is missed.
