I met Kara many years ago when I was on a co-op placement. Kara was always so kind and patient to me - and a great laugh. We stayed in contact for years afterwards and I always loved catching up with her. Kara was dealt the cruelest of hands but she fought with such dignity and bravery. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

I met Kara in National Rehab Hosp in early 2022. She was so kind to me at a time when we were both struggling. She got me out of my room for daily coffees and had a competitive streak when it came to evening activities which I didn’t partake in until she encouraged me too. I’m heartbroken and wish Tom and all family members my condolences. Please know that Kara had a huge influence on me and many others and continues to do so. Please fly high you beautiful lady xxx
