My sincere sympathy to Karen's family and friends on her recent passing, a very sad time for you all. She was a very hardworking, fun loving colleague, there was always a story or joke to be told or some slagging to one of us on the team. Her love of her family was clearly evident in the stories she told us regularly. May her love be with you and give you strength in the sad times ahead. We will miss you Karen and will always remember you. Rest in Peace our friend.

I was so saddened to hear about Karen’s passing. I worked with her a number of years ago and she was just the nicest, kindest and softly spoken person but with the most wicked laugh. Such an empathetic person. My thoughts are with her family at this difficult time. Gone too soon.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Karen. She worked with our family for several years prior to 2013. She was wonderful at her job and we really enjoyed knowing her. May she rest in peace.

My heartfelt condolences to you all at this incredibly difficult time, I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Karen as a fellow social worker and she always approached her work with such good humour and dedication. She was due to start working with our team in Kilkenny and we all feel very sorry that we won't get the opportunity to work with her and get to know her better. We will keep her memory alive in the work that we do.

Karen was great craic and great fun. I’ll always cherish the memories and fun times spent with her. In Berlin the absolute notions of us ordering rotten cocktails in The Ritz Carlton. The road trip to Achill that took 7 hours to get there with lots of laughter. Her quick wit and great banter I will miss.

Sending love to Karen's family and friends at this time, Karen was such a character and it was a pleasure to have her as a housemate and a classmate during the masters in Galway. I'll never forget how quick she was with humour and also how warm and kind she was as a friend. Her love of Fleetwood Mac and scrubbing the rented house we had before we all moved in! Her baking and being the best hostess to us and when anyone in our family visited. We were lucky to have her. May she rest in peace x
