Karen McCabe

Shocked and Saddened to hear that Karen has passed away. A wonderful sportsperson who played sport with great skill and passion .As Manager of the First Dublin Ladies Team to win the All Ireland final in Croke Park 1989 .Karen played in the replay final in Croke Park at Corner Forward and played a great a game and helped Dublin collect their first All Ireland win.

So sad to hear of Karen’s passing. My sister Moya and myself shared many great matches and training sessions on the camogie pitch with Karen. She was a valued teammate and a great competitor.

I am so sad to learn of Karen's passing. We played Camogie and Gaelic football together with St Monica's GAA club in Dublin. She was a born leader on the field of play and an unbelievable sportsperson she exceled at any sport she played.

I only heard today of Karen's death. I worked with her for many years in Corporate Services. She was always so obliging and helpful and good humoured. She will be really missed. My sympathies to the extended McCabe family.

Karen played football with us at Marley Rangers for a good few years and became a great team mate, friend and travel companion. She was quiet but kind, stubborn and loyal and has been taken far too soon. Condolences to all her family. We will miss her.
